Lotus 903, currently home to ApexBrasil, welcomed 47 Architecture and Urban Planning students from UDF for a technical visit. The initiative provided future professionals with a practical and immersive experience in one of Brasília’s most iconic developments, recognized for its technological innovation and commitment to sustainability.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore the inner workings of a Triple-A corporate building, gaining insight into the challenges and solutions involved in the design and construction of a highly complex engineering project with outstanding environmental performance.
The group was guided by Lotus Construction Director Alexandre Andrade, who presented the project’s key technical aspects, from the construction methods employed to the strategies that successfully integrated bioclimatic efficiency, technology, and a strong connection with both the urban and natural surroundings. With more than 17,000 square meters of built area, Lotus 903 stands out for combining sophistication, functionality, and innovation within a single development.
According to Alexandre, the visit represented a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and bridge the gap between academic education and real-world industry practice. “Presenting Lotus 903 to students is a source of great pride for all of us. It is a unique development, conceived from an innovative concept and marked by significant technical, architectural, and construction challenges. It is a project that brings together architecture, engineering, technology, and sustainability under a common purpose, resulting in a high-end building with international recognition.”
Throughout the visit, students gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced during construction, the solutions developed to meet the client’s specific requirements, and the technologies that contributed to the project’s success. It was an extremely enriching exchange of knowledge, providing a tangible understanding of the complexity involved in delivering a development of this scale.
More than simply showcasing a successful case study, the initiative reinforces Lotus’s commitment to advancing the construction industry and supporting the education of future professionals. By bringing academic excellence closer to market practice, the company contributes to building an increasingly innovative, sustainable, and transformative future for Brazilian architecture and engineering.
