A group of renowned architects from the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) visited Brasilia to take a closer look at ALMA, a project located in the Northwest Sector, one of the most innovative and sustainable neighborhoods in the federal capital. The visit is part of an international agenda of the AIA, which aims to promote the exchange of experiences and the appreciation of sustainable architectural solutions in cities around the world.
During the visit, the experts explored the unique features of ALMA, a visionary project by Lotus, developed by the renowned offices Valéria Gontijo + Arquitetos, Estrela Arquitetura and Ana Paula Roseo Paisagismo. The architecture of the project stands out for the sophistication of its exposed concrete façade, complemented by movable sunshades and planters, elements that reflect a modern and functional approach.
ALMA reinforces the role of the Northwest Sector as an example of contemporary urban planning. The country’s first ecological neighborhood, with several measures that reduce damage to the environment and encourage the preservation of the region, stands out for its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and harmonious integration with the environment.
The architects were also impressed by the project’s ability to combine innovation, comfort and respect for the environment, characteristics that place it as a reference for the future of architecture in large urban centers.
