Event brought together authorities and reinforced Brasília as a strategic hub for innovation, sustainability, and high-standard institutional architecture

On Monday (December 15), ApexBrasil officially inaugurated its new headquarters at the Lotus 903 building during a ceremony that brought together approximately 700 people, including federal authorities, representatives of the productive sector, foreign trade leaders, and Apex employees. The event celebrated not only the delivery of the building to ApexBrasil, but also a historic milestone for the country: the opening of 500 new international markets in more than 80 countries over the past two years, the result of integrated efforts between ApexBrasil, MAPA, MRE, and MDIC.
The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who highlighted Brazil’s leadership in the energy transition and the country’s progress toward building a low-carbon economy. In his remarks, the president reinforced Brazil’s role as a global reference in sustainability and clean energy. “Brazil has already achieved an energy matrix with 53% renewable energy, which shows that the country is doing its part and can lead by example on the environmental agenda,” Lula stated.

In the same vein, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin emphasized the transformation of Brazil’s industrial sector and its integration into international trade. “The new industry is green, sustainable, competitive, and export-oriented,” he noted.
Strategically located at SGAS 903, the new Lotus 903 building offers 17,000 square meters of built area in a modern, sustainable environment with signature architecture, designed to support the expanding activities of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. Having its own headquarters symbolizes a new level of institutional governance for ApexBrasil.
“Our own headquarters is a development that reflects the essence of ApexBrasil. A contemporary, sustainable space recognized for its innovation, symbolizing how we operate: connecting people, ideas, and opportunities to project a modern, competitive Brazil prepared for the future on the international stage. Moreover, it will be a space open to those who live in Brasília—a building open to the city’s population, fostering culture and art,” said Jorge Viana, President of ApexBrasil.
For Lotus, the completion of the project represents the delivery of a development that reaffirms the company’s commitment to construction quality, innovation, and sustainability—elements that also guided ApexBrasil’s choice of the building.
“The inauguration of Lotus 903 marks a new chapter for Brasília. For us, it is a source of great pride to deliver a development that symbolizes progress and a vision for the future,” said Ruy Hernández, Co-CEO of Lotus. With the delivery of Lotus 903, Lotus strengthens its position as a national and international reference in innovative and sustainable corporate developments, expanding its portfolio within the capital’s corporate axis.

Awards and Certifications
Lotus 903 brings together a set of awards and certifications that reinforce Lotus’s positioning on the international stage of architecture, innovation, and sustainability. The development was the winner of the German Design Award 2026 in the category Excellent Architecture – Conceptual Architecture, a recognition granted by the German Design Council, one of the world’s most prestigious institutions in honoring projects that stand out for technical and conceptual excellence. This award adds to the project’s list of international recognitions, which also includes the Iconic Awards, a global distinction dedicated to visionary and innovative developments in architecture and design.
In the field of sustainability, Lotus 903 also holds LEED Platinum and Procel Level A certifications, attesting to its high environmental performance, energy efficiency, and the company’s commitment to responsible construction practices.
“Lotus 903 was conceived to go beyond the traditional function of a corporate building. It was designed as a space that inspires, connects people, and translates institutional values into architecture, sustainability, and efficiency, supporting ApexBrasil’s strategic role,” explained Luiz Felipe Hernandez, Co-CEO of Lotus.
