Initiatives by companies such as the Lotus real estate company seek to raise awareness about preventing breast cancer

In October, it is common for public buildings to adopt the color pink for their facades in celebration of Pink October, the month of the campaign that aims to alert society about early diagnosis of breast cancer. In tune with social and public health issues, some private companies have also joined the initiative. This is the case of the Lotus real estate company, based in Brasilia. “It is not just about lighting up our facade with the color pink in allusion to Pink October. We go further. We are preparing a special day for awareness-raising actions for our employees – men and women. Everyone needs to be alerted to take care of their health”, highlights businessman Luiz Felipe Hernandez, partner at Lotus.

On October 19, at 9 am, Lotus will hold an event for employees. It will be a special breakfast with a lecture, exhibition and support material, prepared by a health professional, about the importance of prevention for early diagnosis and for fighting breast cancer.

Good Practices

Lotus is headquartered in the Northwest, a neighborhood in the capital where most of the company’s projects are located. Called Casa Lotus, the company is always seeking to provide humanized work with its employees. In just 4 years in the market, Lotus Incorporadora has already stood out for offering a new chapter in the construction industry. Led by two young people – Luiz Felipe and Ruy Hernandez, the company has already launched 8 projects and stands out for its investment in ESG. The acronym, in English, stands for “Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance”, and refers to the best environmental, social and governance practices. “We have grown a lot since Lotus opened, we have expanded our horizons in terms of entrepreneurship, but we will never forget that all of our projects are carried out by competent and highly professional employees. We value human beings first”, concludes Luiz Felipe
