Connection 2030: the future Brazil is building

Leaders from the public and private sectors gathered on the 4th to take part in Connection 2030 – The Future Brazil Is Building, an event organized by PlatôBR and sponsored by Lotus. Throughout the program, experts, business leaders, and public officials discussed ways to strengthen the economy, enhance the country’s competitiveness, and drive sustainable development through innovation, legal certainty, and new investment models.

The event opened with remarks by Vital do Rêgo Filho, President of Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), who shared his perspective on the role of public institutions in creating a more efficient environment for the country’s growth. In his presentation, he highlighted the evolution of the Court’s role, which now seeks not only to oversee public administration but also to guide public managers and contribute to improving public policies, supporting the implementation of strategic projects.

Legal certainty to drive investment

The first panel featured Ives Gandra da Silva Martins Filho, Justice of Brazil’s Superior Labor Court (TST); Daniele Maranhão, Federal Appellate Judge of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region (TRF-1); and tax attorney Fernanda Hernandez. The speakers discussed how stability, predictability, and legal certainty are essential to increasing investor confidence, encouraging new business ventures, and fostering a more competitive economic environment. They also emphasized the importance of a specialized judiciary in addressing the growing complexity of economic relations.

Brazil connected to the global market

The following panel focused on promoting Brazilian businesses abroad and brought together Laudemir Müller, President of ApexBrasil; Jorge Viana, former President of the institution; and Andressa Beig Jordão, Executive Director of the Brazilian Cachaça Institute.

During the discussion, the speakers emphasized that qualities such as trust, stability, and the ability to build dialogue strengthen Brazil’s image on the international stage and expand opportunities for Brazilian companies to enter new markets. They also addressed the demographic and economic challenges expected to shape the country’s development over the coming decades.

Financial markets and technology

One of the highlights of the event was the panel “Real Estate Investment Funds: A New Income Source as an Investment Thesis,” featuring Luiz Felipe Hernandez, Co-CEO of Lotus.

Sharing the company’s experience, the executive explained how closer ties with the financial market have enabled the development of increasingly sophisticated projects, expanded investor access to the real estate sector, and created new business opportunities.

According to him, Lotus has been structuring innovative financial operations since 2021, building strategic partnerships and developing financial models that bridge the gap between the capital markets and the real estate industry.

For Luiz Felipe, the company’s greatest competitive advantage lies in its long-term vision. “Our mindset is already in 2030. We develop products aligned with what the market is looking for while maintaining the construction quality, distinctive architecture, and international standards that define the Lotus identity.”

He also pointed out that the financial market has evolved from being a trend into one of the primary drivers of growth in the real estate sector, enabling thousands of investors to participate in major developments that were once limited to a small number of groups.

The panel “Tech & Infrastructure: Artificial Intelligence and Data Centers as the New Frontier of Development” brought together experts to discuss how the expansion of digital infrastructure and advances in artificial intelligence are creating new opportunities for businesses, investors, and the Brazilian economy.

The discussion demonstrated that the growth of data centers and digital technologies will become increasingly decisive for the country’s competitiveness.

Lessons from sports for the business world

Closing the event, Lotus Co-CEO Ruy Hernandez shared the stage with multiple-time world jiu-jitsu champion Roberto Cyborg Abreu.

In an engaging conversation, they reflected on leadership, discipline, preparation, and resilience, demonstrating how the principles of high-performance sports can inspire companies and professionals in the pursuit of consistent results.

More than simply bringing together experts to discuss today’s challenges, Connection 2030 fostered a dialogue about the opportunities that can transform Brazil in the years ahead.

By supporting the event, Lotus reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, sustainable development, and the creation of solutions that contribute to a more competitive, prepared, and future-ready Brazil.
