Lotus, a construction and development company from Brasília, held the third edition of the Copa Lotus football championship. A total of eight teams, made up of employees from the construction sites and the office, competed, along with an enthusiastic crowd that gathered for the company’s year-end celebration.
In the words of Cláudio Roberto, better known as Mestre Claudio: “Copa Lotus is one of the best events in the Construction Industry. It’s an event that brings closer those who work in operations with the rest of the team, conveying exactly what Lotus is and what daily life is like inside,” he says.
The idea of organizing the championship arose during a routine meeting with partners Ruy Hernandez and Luiz Felipe Hernandez, both passionate about football. “Copa Lotus was born from an informal chat and today it is the most anticipated event of the year. Due to the nature of the business operation, it is difficult for those who work at headquarters to meet the rest of the colleagues on the field, which is why this moment is so special.”
“The championship was designed as a way to integrate all employees, involve them in Lotus’ culture, and celebrate each person’s professional and personal achievements,” explains Wilkerson Bastos.
Ruy Hernandez, one of Lotus’ partners and a former professional football player, lifted the trophy in 2021 playing for Algazarra Esporte Clube. For him, this is a moment of dedication to two of his greatest passions in life. “Lotus was born from the dream of building a business together with my brother, and from the beginning, we have been bringing more amazing people on this journey. Being able to play football with the people we work with every day, hearing the support of each of them, is equally energizing and rewarding.”
After the football matches, the first women’s domino tournament at Lotus began. The players competed in a very relaxed and strategic atmosphere.
We congratulate the winners of the first edition of the Lotus women’s domino tournament, who, divided into teams of 4 people, competed in the matches and at the end the top 3 placements received their prizes.
After the games, during the celebration, gifts were raffled such as a 55-inch TV, a bicycle, a PlayStation 5, a tablet, and a cell phone. The most important prize of the day, the Cup trophy, went to the team from the corporate development at 903 Sul, Milan e Uma Noites.
