Lotus 903 has just earned another international recognition by winning the German Design Award 2025 in the “Excellent Architecture – Conceptual Architecture” category. Granted by the German Design Council, the award is one of the most prestigious in the world, celebrating excellence and innovation in architecture and design.
The official ceremony will take place on February 6, 2026, during the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt/Main, Germany — one of the world’s leading design events, bringing together more than 1,200 guests, including architects, designers, executives, and members of the international design press.
“The international recognition of Lotus 903 symbolizes our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and original architecture. Awards of this magnitude highlight Brazilian architecture on the global stage and reaffirm that Lotus is on the right path,” said Bruna Galvão, Project Coordinator at Lotus.
Located in Brasília’s Asa Sul district, Lotus 903 was developed by Crosara Arquitetura in collaboration with scenographer Bia Lessa, with landscaping by Burle Marx. The project combines contemporary aesthetics, sustainability, and functionality in a concept that reflects Lotus’s commitment to original and innovative architecture.
“The architecture of Lotus 903 was designed to merge performance and expression, with its main gesture being a large central axis that connects the towers and extends over an open ground floor, promoting fluidity, transparency, and a natural invitation to walk beneath the buildings. Lightness and elegance are expressed through the glass façade, which reflects the surrounding greenery and emphasizes the pursuit of brightness, comfort, and well-being,” explains the project’s lead architect, Julio Crosara.
The development has become an icon of Brasília’s urban landscape, standing out for its integrated design and use of sustainable solutions and high-performance materials. Its excellence led ApexBrasil to acquire the building as its new institutional headquarters, reinforcing the project’s national and international relevance.
“This is a major milestone for Brasília and for Brazil, placing us on the same level as the world’s highest standards,” says Luiz Felipe Hernandez, Co-CEO of Lotus.
The German Design Award 2025 adds to Lotus’s growing list of international recognitions. Lotus 903 was also a winner of the Iconic Awards, a global prize that celebrates visionary and innovative projects in architecture and design.
In 2023, the Alma residential project, located in Brasília’s Setor Noroeste, won the Loop Design Awards in the “Architecture | Multi-Unit Housing” category. The competition received 690 entries from over 50 countries, and Lotus’s project took first place for its aesthetic, functional, and sustainable excellence.
Organized by the German Design Council, the German Design Award recognizes the most innovative and relevant design achievements worldwide.
The “Excellent Architecture – Conceptual Architecture” category honors projects and concepts still under development or construction that stand out for their originality, sustainability, urban relevance, and cultural impact.
Winners are selected by an international jury of experts in architecture, design, and research, ensuring a curation of exceptional quality and global prestige.
