Lotus Promotes a Welcoming Experience for Female Employees and Strengthens a Humanized Organizational Culture

In a country where millions of women carry, alone, the responsibility of supporting their households, talking about motherhood inevitably means talking about exhaustion, resilience, and daily reinvention. In Brazil, most families are led by women, many of whom juggle double or even triple shifts between work, caregiving, and the emotional management of domestic life. Even so, this reality remains largely invisible within corporate structures.

It was from this more human perspective on the reality of Brazilian women that Lotus hosted the event “Every Mother Deserves a Break” on May 8th at Vert Café. The initiative brought together female employees for a breakfast gathering designed not around goals or productivity, but around offering something increasingly rare in the routine of many mothers: time. Time to slow down, breathe, exchange experiences, and simply exist beyond the countless demands that daily cross the lives of women balancing work, children, home, and emotional responsibilities.

More than a Mother’s Day celebration, the initiative positions itself as an invitation to reflection: what kind of environment are companies creating for the women who sustain not only their careers, but entire families?

The Value of Time in a Routine That Never Stops

Unlike traditional corporate events, the gathering did away with lectures and rigid schedules. The proposal was simple: to offer a space for genuine pause.

For many of those present, stopping is not something simple. Between goals, deadlines, children, household responsibilities, and often the absence of a structured support network, daily life continues at a fast pace with almost no breaks. Precisely for this reason, moments of care and listening gain an even deeper meaning.

“Participating in this gathering was a very meaningful and welcoming moment. Amid the rush of daily life, being able to stop for a few hours to share experiences, talk, and feel valued made all the difference. It was an opportunity to recognize the strength of women who balance motherhood, career, and so many responsibilities at the same time, without losing their dedication and care in every role they perform,” commented Roberta Magalhães, Lotus’ Commercial Director.

Organizational Culture: Where Real Change Happens

Balancing career and motherhood has never been an individual equation. This challenge is collective and necessarily involves organizational culture.

“At Lotus, we believe that personal and professional life should not compete with one another. When a company understands the human reality of its employees, especially women balancing multiple responsibilities, it builds more sustainable relationships, more engaged teams, and more consistent results,” explains Luiz Felipe Hernandez, co-CEO of Lotus.

In this context, initiatives like this gain relevance not only because of the gesture itself, but because of what they symbolize: a shift in mindset.

The Legacy That Inspires the Present

Valuing female strength has been part of Lotus since its very beginning. Co-CEO Ruy Hernandez recalled the impact of his mother’s journey, attorney Fernanda Hernandez, on his personal and professional development.

“By building a solid career while raising her children, often independently, she exemplified values that today shape the company’s culture: ethics, discipline, and commitment to the long term. It was through her that I learned the meaning of responsibility, hard work, and integrity,” he highlighted.

More than a personal memory, this reference translates into organizational practice, recognizing that stories like hers are not exceptions, but part of the reality of thousands of Brazilian women.

Caring for People Is a Business Strategy

Inserted within a culture that values people beyond results, the initiative reinforces Lotus’ commitment to those who make the company happen every day. In an increasingly demanding market, recognizing the real challenges faced by employees, especially women, is not merely a gesture of care. It is understanding that strong companies are also built through more human, healthy, and sustainable relationships.

“Our commitment is to build long-lasting relationships based on respect and responsibility. Investing in the well-being of the people who make Lotus happen is an essential part of this vision,” states Luiz Felipe Hernandez, co-CEO of Lotus.
