Women in construction are honored at Lotus lunch

Every year, Women’s Day is a day to remember the search for more respect and appreciation. In the construction industry, women are increasingly taking up space and have been reaping recognition.

This is the case of the workers at Lotus Incorporadora e Construtora, who were honored this Tuesday (8) with a lunch at Casa Lotus to celebrate the work they have done.

“The situation for men and women here is the same, because we are talking about the same responsibility, the same work. So, recognition and appreciation need to be and are 100% the same here at Lotus”, emphasized Lotus owner Ruy Hernandez.

Women in the construction industry

According to data from the Federal Council of Engineering and Agronomy (Confea), women are gaining more and more space in the sector, but they still represent much less than men. They are 86.3% men, compared to 13.6% women.

At Lotus, they work in several sectors. They are field workers, engineers, architects, representatives from sales, finance, and other areas.

“We learned in our upbringing the value that women have, whether in the way they see things, mediate conflicts, or see the details that men don’t see. And in our company culture, this is essential,” added Hernandez.

Lotus

With less than 4 years in the market, Construtora Lotus has already stood out for offering a new chapter in the construction industry. The company has already launched 8 projects, all without bank financing for all phases, has an accumulated VGV of R$ 4.7 billion and stands out for its investment in ESG.
The acronym, in English, stands for “Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance”, and refers to the best environmental, social and governance practices.

To demonstrate that it invests in ESG practices, a company must have initiatives to protect natural resources, reduce pollutant emissions and positively impact the environment while delivering benefits to society.
