To innovate in the celebration of the construction workers, the construction company Lotus is holding a soccer championship for its employees this year as part of the end-of-year celebration. The Lotus Cup is already generating great expectations, with fierce competition and the presentation of medals and trophies to the champions.
“Every year, we organize a celebration party for the workers at the Lotus construction sites. But this year it will be different. In addition to the celebration party, which will feature a barbecue, a country music band and a prize draw, we will also hold the Lotus Cup. We are all looking forward to the event,” says one of the owners of Lotus, Ruy Hernandez.
The Lotus Society Soccer Cup will be Lotus’ first championship and will take place on December 17th at the Ascade Club. There will be 8 games until the final, including the third-place match. The owners Ruy and Luiz Felipe Hernandez will also take to the field. After the competition, there will be a party for all participants.
Employees from all the construction sites organized themselves to form seven teams, with 81 athletes distributed among the teams. The names chosen already show that the goal is to have fun: Algazarra Esporte Clube, Al Haya Futebol Clube, Pitu Futebol Clube, Lotus 310, Prime Show, Almaster, Almaquina and Almagic. This Friday (03), at Casa Lotus, the draw for the keys to define the competition took place.
For Human Resources Manager Wilkerson Bastos, who has been at Lotus for almost 2 years, the idea is to innovate. “The championship is being a success among the construction site workers and each group chose the name of their team. It is a moment of integration between the teams so that everyone gets to know each other. The idea is for us all to work together as a team,” says Bastos.
The construction company is already planning to repeat the competition at the celebrations. “The atmosphere is great and we are sure that these events bring employees from all teams together. It is very good for everyone and creates moments of relaxation. It will certainly become a practice in our festive events with employees and I hope my team performs well on the 17th”, says Luiz Felipe Hernandez, Lotus owner who will play for Algazarra E.C.
Excited about the competition, some teams are already training to try to secure the trophy. One of the people who says this is Nerivaldo Felix, foreman of Alma 106 Lotus. “I will play for the Almaquina team, representing our administration. Here at our construction site we have two other teams: Almaster and Almagic. We are training to participate in the Lotus celebration and our expectation is to bring the trophy here to the Alma 106 construction site. Everyone is dedicated to being champions. We are a high-quality team” he concludes, full of plans.
