Taking on professions that were previously considered male, women have been gaining more and more space in the construction industry. To celebrate Pink October and raise awareness among women in the construction industry, Casa Lotus, a real estate developer in Brasilia, will host female workers and important figures in the fight against breast cancer for a special breakfast this Tuesday (19).
The idea is to have a morning of chat, guidance, advice and exchange of experiences in the fight against cancer. “Lotus cares about its employees and collaborators. The Pink October event at our Casa is a gesture of care for our team and of social responsibility,” said Ruy Hernandez, one of the owners of Lotus.
Prevention and care
In addition to celebrating Pink October, the event will feature a special message from Dr. Adriana Meneses about prevention and care for women, and the participation of the Secretary for Women of the Federal District, Ericka Filippelli, who will speak about the work of the department.
Casa Lotus will also host the Rosas do Cerrado group, which helps women with breast cancer. They hold events for other women seeking to restore female self-esteem after treatment.
Fashion entrepreneur Haylla Junqueira has also confirmed her presence at the event. She will speak about the social work she does in the Federal District with women who have had breast cancer and the care she provides during and after the disease.
“The goal of Pink October at Lotus is to raise awareness among our employees and collaborators, especially women, about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer,” added Luiz Felipe Hernandez, owner of the development company, emphasizing that men, husbands, fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins and boyfriends can and should also participate in this awareness-raising effort and help women.
